Quo vadis is part of Penumbral States, a larger body of work in which I use darkness as a comfort zone, a contemplative space, aspace for solitude, silence, and magic in response to the omnipresence of the virtual world.
Quo Vadis is comprised of 68 black and white images. It is about visible pathways of transmission, boundaries between natural and artificial light creating new forms of appearance. The juxtaposition of natural, as well as man made sources of energy stands for the paradox of our times in which the analogue mind finds him/herself juggling internal (physical) and external realities (virtual).
